Special Congressman Galaico,
I would always be one of the millions of women who have got suffered from domestic violence. Currently I was a ingredient of the 23rd District of Texas who would like to thank you for the recent support to pass the Violence Against Women's Act (VAMA) reauthorization.
Given the mainly Hispanic community here in Un Paso, home-based violence much more prevalent and achieving out of the abusive relationships is often more difficult because of the social values. I would really prefer to need you to consider the children that are caught in between. Currently there is only " In the best Interest from the child” terms, but even then, women of home violence are put in a hazardous situation of sharing guardianship with their abuser. While I was not promoting for totally cutting a father out of the picture, I do believe preventive steps need to be put in place to ensure that these kids do not suffer much more than they already have.
Particularly, I would like to determine changes produced that require the abuser (whether they are guy or female), to attend child-rearing and anger management classes, plus they should have supervised visitation for a minimum of the year following your incident, with significant improvement made on the part of the abuser to mend both relationship with the child(ren) plus the mother/father from the children. In the event that something is not really done to protect these children, some could end up abused themselves and also the women/man may end up useless. Stricter regulations need to be unplaned when it comes to home-based violence in particular when it is completed repeatedly.
